Bunches and bunches of questions answered

So, yeah, nothing much has been happening around Kat's house lately, hence no entries. HDiTty still hasn't transferred over the vacation photos to the home computer yet and as mentioned I really don't want to use the laptop. One of these months it'll get done.
______________________________
So since I don't have anything really to write about I did another search for ideas. The following questions come courtesy of
Warwick Blogs.

What would you have on your headstone? I think I'd stick with the basics: My name, birth and death dates. It'd be up to HDiTty if he'd want anything else. But then, it'd be up to him if I'm buried anyway since my wish is to be cremated.

What's your dream car? I really don't have one. But the first image that popped into my head was a Hummer. The original not the 2 or 3.

Is pornography morally wrong? I don't think so. I know there are some girls and even boys that get into it in ways that shouldn't be. But for the most part they join on their own, they're not forced into it. And no one has to look at it if they don't want to. And so on and so forth.

If you had a big win in the lottery, how long would you wait to tell people? Long enough to get a lawyer involved and certain things worked out. As far as work goes, I might tell right away because I'd be quitting the very next day.

Do you carry a donor card? Sort of, it's on my Driver's License

Why (or why not)? Because I believe people should get whatever is able to be salvaged from my body that can be. Especially since it's going to be burned up anyway.

Where would you like to retire? In a log cabin, on a mountain in the woods, on our own private huge pond/small lake. If it can't be on a mountain, fine as long as everything else is there.

What is something you wish you were better at doing? Drawing

What colour do you prefer your pens to write? Black

Are babies cute? Yes, for the most part.

Do you subscribe to a magazine? Yes, 3 of them

If so, what? Entertainment Weekly, Midwest Living and Cottage Living

What was the last thing you used a microwave for? Campbell's soup for lunch today

What book are you reading? the 3rd book in the Twilight series, sorry can't remember the name. That tells you how long it's been since I picked it up doesn't it?

Do you like rollercoasters? Yes, love them.

Cite a song lyric that means something to you: "Hey baby, you got the love I need" from Over the Hills and Far Away - Led Zeppelin

What's the oldest thing you own? A China cabinet. It was in the house that my mom and dad bought going on 45 years ago now. We have no idea how old it is.

What's your favourite word? I'm liking serenity lately. I don't use it at all, but I like the sound.

What word(s) do you hate? Hmmm, I can't think of any except for the incorrect word of irregardless. But since that's not a real word I don't know if that counts.

Who would you have liked to be? I still think I would've like to have been an English teacher. Although my grammar isn't always the best nowadays, it used to be really good. Have no idea what happened there. Heh Or maybe an editor of fiction books.

What historical figure(s) do you most despise? Well Hitler comes to mind pretty damn quick.

What natural gift would you most like to possess? The gift to draw like Brother #2 can

How would you like to die? Asleep in my bed. Like, I think, most people I'd like to go to sleep and not wake up.

Why do you blog? Since, for the most part, my blog is more like a journal than not I blog to keep some kind of diary of my life.

Name one web site you'd recommend to others. Bitchypoo (it's over on the list, go check out the funny)

Whose thoughts would you most like to read? Of people I know personally I'd have to say it's a toss up between my mom and HD. Of people I don't know (i.e. celebrity) it's a toss up of Brad Pitt and Stephen King

What have you lost that you'd most like to retrieve? Well, I didn't lose them, my mother did. I'd like to retrieve her wedding ring set from when she was married to my father.

What's your favourite red thing? Does my Rendezvous count? It's more Burgundy than truly red. If not, I don't really have anything other than clothing and none of those I'd consider a favourite.

What are some things that make you nervous? Cars pulling out in front of me from a parking lot when there aren't any cars behind me. Not only does it anger me it makes me nervous as all get out since I've dreamed 3 times that that's how I'm going to die.

What's the best tasting food you've ever eaten? A fillet Mignon at a restaurant that no longer exists in Baton Rouge, LA. It was a place called Joey's and every bite just melted in my mouth. I had it on prom night 20 years ago. That's how good it was, I can still remember it to this day and my mouth is watering as I write this. Otherwise, as far as type of food, I'd have to say crawfish etoufee from just about any place in New Orleans, LA.

What's your favourite boy's name? Joseph, followed very closely by Joshua
Girl's name? Aurora - although I don't ever play online role playing games, HD does. And every time he starts a new game we create a character for me using this name. We usually end up having to add an "H" to it at the end though because someone has already gotten the correct spelling.

Where will you be in five year's time? I'd love to not be working in 5 years, at least not employed in something like I'm doing now. But I suppose as far as living goes, I'll still be in the same house I am now.

What one thing would you most like to accomplish with your life? Serenity!

What's your favourite scary movie? The Sixth Sense because it's just an awesome movie.
The movie that freaks me out though, that would be Ghost Story

Who's funnier, Jim Carrey or Bill Murray? Bill Murray, hands down.

What's the furthest place you've ever travelled to? I think that would be San Francisco, CA

Name a book you'd recommend to a friend. Swan Song
Why? I think I've written about this book enough. Just go get it dagnabit!

What's your favourite cartoon? Does The Little Drummer Boy and How the Grinch Stole Christmas and all the Charlie Brown specials count? If not and we're talking true cartoons, as in Saturday morning/after school I'd have to say Tom and Jerry.
Why? Because they're just damn funny, the older ones that is.

Name something about yourself that people don't expect. I can be very, very bitchy at times. Just ask HD.

If you won $5 million, how would you spend it? Get out of any debt of course, first and foremost. Then we'd be going on our dream vacation with a little more time added in I do believe. From there I'm not sure, I know we'd help out family though.

What's your favourite time of day? Dusk
Why? It's prettiest. If this includes night time though, I'd have say any time that it's dark and I can see the stars.

It is what it is

I don't know if it's the time of year or what but I just don't have a whole lot to say. I do know this, I can't type today. That first sentence I think I made a mistake in just about every word. Hell, I couldn't type every just now. I kept typing the v first. UGH! That's pretty bad for someone who on her last typing test did 70 words a minute.

Here's the one thing I don't like about fall, and winter too I guess: Having to wake up and drive in to work in the dark. By the time I get there the sun has come up but most of the way is in darkness. I don't mind driving home in the dark though, that has never bothered me, don't know why.

You know what sucks? Wanting to have my house decorated for Halloween but not having the energy to do it. By the time I get home from work I don't want to do anything but sit. Weekends aren't much better. Take this last weekend. I had to go do some grocery shopping, not much, just about 10 or so items. But could I make myself get up and do it? Nope, I kept telling myself to do it but I then kept telling myself, later, I'll do it a little later. I finally did go to the drugstore to get HDiTty's medicine and some hairspray for me but that was it.

Other than that we sat around watching some movies on Saturday. Oh yeah, we did rouse ourselves enough to go see Elizabeth: The Golden Age late Saturday night. Which was good but not as good as the first. But then it is a sequel and that's hard to do. Sunday he was on the computer all day and I read all day with some football games on in the background. Did that until the Saints game. Which finally made us have something to cheer for.

I like those kinds of weekends. The kind with no real responsibility. But still, I feel like I should be doing something. Decorating the house/yard, shopping, cleaning out the extra bedroom. Just general stuff that needs doing. Oh well, it is what it is.

Once again I'm boring myself so I'm going to call it a post.

So what's an unnatural woman?

Over the last couple of days I've thought of a few things to write about but now I can't remember any of them. So why am I here? I don't know, couldn't tell you. I just feel like writing but at the same time I don't want to do another random post again. At least not so close to the last one I did. Although this is my blog/journal and I can do whatever the hell I want to with it. It's not like I have a ton of readers to write for that's for sure.

I would like to say thanks to all of you who do stop by on a regular basis though. That includes you lurkers out there. I have one person that comes by almost every day, I know I know, you're just using me to get to other sites. But that's ok I like that actually, it makes me feel useful. Hopefully you peruse what I write before you go on.

Maybe I'll do another "you know" post, hmmm that's a thought. At any rate I need to get off of here for a bit anyway and get back to what puts food on my table. Ta ta for now.

Ok, I'm back for now and can someone explain something to me please? The song that was just on the radio was "A Natural Woman" by Aretha Franklin. What the hell does a natural woman feel like, I mean, aren't we all "natural" women if we're female? What does an "unnatural" woman feel like? These are questions I need answers too. Anyone? Anyone?

So my partner (no, not that kind of partner you perv) and I have been trying to collect money all day long and I'm just so damn tired of it today. I hate talking on the phone so I try do as much by Email as possible but there's some people out there that I don't have an address for so I have to call. It's not that they're unpleasant to talk to or anything, it's just that I really don't want to talk to anyone, ever, on the phone if I can get away with it.

UGH!! I just found out from one of my contacts that the money I was told would be collected this week is now not going to be available until Tuesday. There goes $31,000.00 dollars for the week. But right on the heels of that I got an Email from another contact stating there'll be over 50 grand available by them tomorrow.

Randomness

I'm pissed at myself right now. When I fix my hair in the morning I'll take my wedding rings off while hair spraying so it doesn't get coated with the stuff. Normally I put them on the back of the toilet but today I put them in the pocket of my t-shirt I was wearing. Sure enough I forgot to take 'em back out and put 'em on. Luckily I have two rings I wear on my right hand that I switched over so I won't feel naked throughout the day. I bet no one will even notice just like they didn't notice I had my hair colored last Thursday.

My SIL, H Ditty's youngest sister, does hair. After she cut it in July I mentioned maybe getting some color put in but never got around to it until last week. Even then I wasn't sure about doing it but said screw and had her put in copperish colored hi lights. Not one person said anything at work. The people I only see rarely or don't talk to at all I certainly didn't expect them to say anything. But the people in my accounting department and in the service/project management department I figured would say something, at least a couple of the girls. But nope. Now bosslady I can excuse, she wasn't feeling well on Friday so wasn't really concentrating on much of anything throughout the day. She still wasn't feeling her best yesterday morning but she noticed it within the first 10 minutes after walking in the door. And it's not like it's subtle either, oh well, so be it.

The draw back to it is that on mornings that I don't feel like fixing it or I get up late I'll wash it and let it air dry then hold it back in a headband. The coloring on the bangs start about a half inch from the scalp and then it's only some of the hair. There's these quarter inch strips of color so it looks like zebra stripes almost. So I have to make a point of getting up on time every morning and whether I want to fix it or not I'm going to have to. Sucks big time.

My period has decided to come early, by a full week and a half. This is the drawback of working with so many women. Normally I'll have at least a few signs that it's going to happen. My face may breakout, my legs almost always hurt along with my breasts. I usually get the munchies too, I crave starchy crunchy foods. And certain bathroom functions change. I'm not going to go into how they change, you're welcome. But a few days ago, Sunday I think it was, I noticed that my breasts felt heavy. That's it, just heavy and I told H Ditty that it seemed odd since it's so early but it's one of the rare signs that happen. But when it does happen it's always with at least one of the others, usually more though. No others occurred but sure enough last night it started right up. I'm hoping that means it'll be one of those months where it comes in quickly, doesn't cause problems and then goes away just as quickly. Those months are rare but when they happen I'm very happy and relieved. Ok, enough of that.

So let's see, what else is going on. Oh yeah, football starts tomorrow, can't wait. It's the match up that should have been in the Superbowl in February. H Ditty has invited several people over but I'm sure only a few will actually show up. But that's fine with me, I like it when it's just the two of us watching a game. Oh crap, I need to find my hat again. I have a "Saints Girl" hat that I wear for every game and I don't remember where I put it at the end of the season. This happened to me last year and the season was almost half over before I finally found it. But I have a few ideas so I'll try to remember to look for it tonight.

We started watching The X Files and Sportsnight again. Those were such great shows. It's a shame Sportsnight didn't make it. But then Sorkins shows, besides West Wing, are never appreciated the way they should be. Everyone looks so young, especially David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson since X Files started in what, '93, I think it was. They look like such younguns it took a little getting used to again.

Alright, I'm done for now, I'm once again beginning to bore myself with the randomness of this entry. Apparently I really had nothing much to say today.
