Weekend Update 1/28-30/11

So, let's see. I can't think of anything we did on Friday night so I'm thinking we did our usual catching up on shows while HDiTty also played WOW.

Nope, I remember now. We went to a wake for one of his coworkers that passed away. I got out a little early so we could be there as close to 5:00 as possible since that's when it started. We got there around 5:30 or so and left around 6:40 or so. Stopped off at a little Italian restaurant to pick up dinner and then headed home. Spent the rest of the evening watching tv and him playing WOW. He had to get to bed at a decent hour though since he was working over time at 6:00am until ?.

Saturday morning I got up later than usual and then hopped in the tub - as usual. Wasn't in there for 15 minutes when HDT called to say he was on his way home and see if I had called my mom yet. I hadn't, so he got her on the phone and let her know we couldn't do The King's Speech on Sunday because of a scheduling conflict and would she like to go today. She did so we picked her up and went.

That is one terrific movie. There were times that it seemed like HDT, mom and I were the only ones laughing. Not sure if it's that the others just didn't get the joke, that it went too fast for them, or because of the accent they didn't understand. At any rate, we three really enjoyed it and now I'm torn on what should win best picture - it or True Grit. The King's Speech is more in line with what the Academy seems to like. Especially since True Grit is pretty harsh with the killings. But it's just as good. I guess I'll be just as happy if either one wins.

After the movie we went to a late lunch/early dinner at BWW. Dropped her off after that and then met up with a couple friends in town to go to a different theater to see The Mechanic. Which was much better than I expected it to be. HDT let me know it was a remake, he had seen the original. But while watching it he forgot that it was until the very end when he saw a note to one of the characters and then it hit him again. Kinda funny since it was at the very beginning of the movie that he said it was a remake.

Jim came over and Pat went home afterward. Jim wanted to see something that HDT was doing on WOW. The guy that played the Bishop in The King's Speech was an actor that neither HDT nor I could place until he looked him on IMDB. We both kept seeing him as an evil guy and found out that he had been in Underworld. I thought he had said the first one so when we got home I put that in to watch since he was on WOW anyway. After he was done doing whatever it was that he was doing he and Jim came over to the couch and chair to finish watching the movie with me. Found out that HDT had said it was the second movie the guy is in.

But after it was done we decided to watch something else. Ordered dinner, watched a couple IT Crowd shows for Jim to see them and then decided to watch Pulp Fiction because both of them kept quoting it. Both HDT and I headed up to bed right after.

Sunday we got up and got ready to go get his youngest nephew's present and pick up his grandma to go to the birthday party. He turned two and he's just as cute as can be.

The afternoon was spent there having a good time then we dropped of grandma and headed home a little after 6:00pm. Made dinner, put in a load of laundry and proceeded to watch the SAG awards. So happy Modern Family won for best cast, especially since the actors that were nominated individually didn't. After the awards we watched the end of the Pro Bowl, disappointed that we didn't get to see Drew play. It was so close to the end of the game and NFV were so far ahead that the few times he was on the field he just kneeled the ball. Oh well.

HDT went to bed shortly after that was over and I finished my book then went to sleep.

Good weekend.

Media quote of the day:

From The King's Speech:

Do you know any jokes? - Lionel Logue
Timing isn't my strong suit. - King George VI - The King's Speech

From True Grit:

I've just come from Yell County. - LaBoeuf
I wasn't aware we had rodeo clowns in Yell County. - Mattie Ross
A saucy line will not get you far with me. - LaBoeuf

Weekend Update 1/21-24/11

So I don't remember what we did on Friday, must have just hung around the house as we do most nights catching up on the dvr'd shows.

Saturday HDT had to work his 8 hour day. I got ready to go to my mom's for the day. After dropping off HDT's camera to him and running to the store to pick up whipping cream and strawberries I got to mom's just after noon. My stepdad's birthday is the 24th and since it's his first birthday after his passing last September mom wanted to have a gathering/birthday party for him with just his remaining sibling, his kids and mom's kids. Two of his grandsons with their wife & girlfriend came as well. And Scott's and Wayne's kids came too.

It was nice, we had some good food and good visiting. His daughter Wendy and I were the last to leave just after 10:00. Roy left to go stay the night with Jason so mom was left by herself afterward. I felt bad for her but I think at the same time she was rather relieved to be alone for awhile.

Sunday HDT had to work and I got up and went to Scott's for the Bears/Packers game. Jason, Roy and mom all went as well. Very sad game but I do have to say I wasn't surprised really. I hate to have to do it but I guess I'll be cheering for the Packers in the Superbowl. I don't care for them at all, no way, no how but since they're NFC I feel I should.

And the Cutler debacle..... I'm sorry but after hearing how so many other players over the years have played with broken bones, lacerated kidney, burst spleen, etc., etc. I think he could have played with a bruised knee. But whatever.

I watched a few minutes of the Jets/Steelers game then headed home since HDT was getting off at 6:00. Turns out I was texting him at 7:00 to find out when he'd be home. He was working on training stuff and didn't realize how late it already was. He had left over pizza from earlier in the day so I heated the oven up so all we had to do was put it in to warm it up for dinner. We watched the rest of the game and then a tv show or two and then I went up to read for a bit before finally getting tired enough to sleep around 11:30.

So it was a sad in some ways but at the same time nice weekend.

Media quote of the day:

“All I’m saying is that he can finish the game on a hurt knee … I played the whole season on one,” tweeted Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew.

"Players around the league you said, right?” Urlacher said when asked about the Cutler criticism. “Yeah, love jealous people when they’re watching our game on TV while their season is over.”

Both quotes from this
Yahoo Sports article.

Weekend Update 1/14-16/11

So this weekend was half busy and half relaxing. Friday when I got home from work HDT's sister, Jenn, was over with her two kids. Her oldest spent the whole time playing on his DS except for when he made a call to one of his friends to invite him over for a sleepover. And her youngest, who will be turning 2 in just a couple weeks, spent the whole time running around trying to get into whatever he possibly could. But they left by 6:00 so it wasn't too bad. At least not for me, I guess they had been over for a few hours.

After they left we went back and forth on what to eat and finally decided on getting some Popeyes - yum! After grabbing that we went back home and watched some tv until we needed to go to bed.

Saturday we got up around 10ish. Actually by the time we got out of bed it was 10:30. I got ready to go to the store to get birthday cards for 3 people having their parties later that afternoon. He finished getting the cd of pictures completed for his grandma. I got home close to 1:30 to pick him up and head out. We of course didn't get out of the house until just after 2:00 which is when both parties started.

I dropped him off at his grandma's then headed over to Scott's house. His daughter and stepdaughter were having their birthday parties together. He had gone to all this time and trouble to make all kinds of food: fried chicken, ham and Italian beef for sandwiches, taquitos and chili along with having veggies and chips. And the only ones there were the kids (he has 4) and one of their friends, my mom, me, Roy and Scott. His wife had to work, Jason had to work and Wayne and his family didn't make it. They were on their way when Wayne started to upchuck in the van. So they of course turned around to go back home. I felt bad that he had all that food but I could only eat so much. I did prepare a plate of ham to take home for HDT though and took a slice of one of the cakes as well for him.

At 5:30 when they still hadn't opened the cards yet I said I had to leave since I still had to go to grandma's party. It was her 88th birthday and HDT's mom threw a big party for her, inviting several extended family members that she hadn't seen in years. When I got there just before 6:00 not one of them were still there. The only ones left were HDT, his mom and her boyfriend and Jenn and her two boys. Apparently pretty much after everyone had some food and grandma opened her cards they all took off. His mom said it had been over for quite awhile. To be perfectly honest I wasn't disappointed.

Jenn and his mom's boyfriend both took off at the same time and the rest of us watched the cd he had made of the pictures. His mom didn't get to see it earlier when they had played it because she was cutting up and handing out the cake. HDT kept stopping it to ask grandma who certain people were. Her brain certainly doesn't work like it should, she had a hard time keeping people straight, including her own children. She was good at always picking out her dad but then he has a very distinctive face. She missed herself a couple times though.

I started to get a bad headache and also mentioned around 8:15 or so that we needed to get home to let Poydras out. By the time we actually left it was 10:30 and my head was really hurting. Plus my left contact had been irritating my eye all day. They are brand new, just put in that morning, but for some reason it was bugging me and no one had saline solution or eye drops. Sucked, and it certainly didn't help the headache.

We got home and I immediately took out my contacts and took some ibuprofen. We decided to stay up to watch some tv; but just around midnight both of us started feeling really tired so we headed to bed.

I woke up a little after 9 Sunday and decided to read in bed until he got up which he did not long after. We started to get ready to go to his dad's house for the Bears/Seahawks game but I noticed Poydras following me around looking all sad because he knew we were getting ready to leave. I mentioned to HDT that I felt bad leaving him again after having left him alone all day on Saturday. He called his dad to say that we were feeling pretty bad about having to leave him alone for another day. We were hoping he'd tell us to bring him along but he didn't so HDT basically told him we wouldn't be coming over then.

Which we were both relieved not to be going because then we could open
ly root for the Seahawks to win. Plus Poydras was definitely happy to be able to sit in my lap and play tug throughout the day. We ordered lunch and it seemed to take forever to get there. I was STARVING and just finished munching on some crackers when the guy finally showed up. And by the time I finished my fries but before I started in on the sandwich I noticed my head was hurting. Now, I get hunger headaches sometimes but they always happen before I begin to eat, not after. I was not a happy camper when it started up. I was hoping though that it would go away not long after eating but it didn't it just got worse.

By the time the game ended I was laying on the couch with my eyes closed. Another reason I was glad we didn't go to his dad's. After the game he came over to the couch to sit with me (he had been at his computer before) and he went on the Netflix instant queue and we watched several of the IT Crowd shows. Some we had already seen before but they were still just as enjoyable the 2nd time around.

The headache never went away and by 7:00 I couldn't take it anymore and took a couple ibuprofen. We also turned on the Golden Globes. Ricky Gervais was somewhat funny but he seemed to be especially mean. Although when he was on Ellen he did say he was going to try to not be invited back next year. I think he nailed it. Just about every win I wasn't surprised by except for the one win by the best actor in comedy or musical being Jim Parsons - my future husband. I of course wanted him to win very much but totally expected the guy from Glee to win. And to see Kaley Cuoco (Penny) be able to give him the award was priceless.

I was keeping on twitter , EW.com and the spoiler chic from eonline were live twittering. I was disappointed though when I updated the feed on my phone and saw which movie won for best picture before they were even back from commercial. Thanks EW! So obviously what we're watching isn't completely live, they're at least 5-6 minutes behind. I knew they were a 2-3 minutes behind, mainly for the bleep button but not 5-6. Oh well.

Migraine is finally gone

So, yeah, my migraine got so bad that I had to stay home on Tuesday. I took one of my pills after calling in to work and then crawled back into bed and hibernated until after 12:00. And pretty much only got up then because HDT had to get up for a doctor appointment and he disturbed Poydras. So I got up to let him outside and feed him, Poydras not HDT silly. I debated crawling back into bed again but decided I'd take a hot bath instead. Those seem to help with the headaches sometimes.

It had started snowing during the night and when we got up there were several inches accumulated already. HDT shoveled the steps and the sidewalk out to his Jeep on his way to his appointment. A couple hours later when I had to take Poydras out enough had fallen that I had to shovel again. Plus I had to uncover the satellite dish since the snow was causing interference.

HDT got home shortly after that and we had lunch and watched some tv. At some point his mom showed up bringing the pictures she needs him to work on for a slide show for his grandma's birthday party this Saturday. At 5:00 he started to get ready to go into work for some overtime he had (6:00 - 10:00) and his mom and I talked about his sister and what she's going through for a while. She was slowly preparing to leave to go to Walgreens to work on scanning in more of her pictures to bring to him at work. She had just finished putting on her boots and was actually getting ready to leave when he came walking back in the door. Turns out on the 1st, in his iphone calender when a bunch of birthday stuff got all wacky some of his overtime stuff got all wacky too and he ended up not having any overtime.

So he changed clothes to go snow blow the driveway and kicked her out of the house to get to the store to work on the pictures. While they did that I watched The Cape. We had started it on Monday when Jess was over but she had to leave for a meeting so we stopped it until she got back. But she didn't get back until after I had to get ready for bed so they finished it during the night so I had to catch up. It was pretty good, better than I expected, so we'll keep watching it for now. When there was about a 1/2 hour left HDT had finished with our driveway and our neighbor's - he was paying them back for doing ours from the last big snowfall.

I started the oven for dinner and he started in on the pictures while I finished the show. His mom didn't show back up until after 9:00, when he should've been getting ready for bed since he had to work the next day. I finally headed up around 11:00 after making up the futon for his mom to crash on. I think he showed up not long after that.

Yesterday at work I still had a headache but it slowly got better as the day wore on. By last night it was completely gone and today still no pain. Knock on wood it lasts.

I can't think of anything to use. So, no quote today.

Weekend Update 1/7-9/11

So, hmmm, I can't remember what we did Friday evening. I think we just hung out and watched some tv because it was his weekend to work and he wanted to get into bed by 9:00. Yes, that's it. He was in bed by 8:45 actually. I followed not too much long after. Oh, no, never mind. I stayed up until midnight because I was going to make italian beef for the next day and since the meat was going to start turning soon I didn't want to wait any longer getting it into the crock pot. So just before midnight I got it into the pot to cook for 10 hours. It wasn't turning yet, but by Saturday evening it would've been.

Saturday I got up about 8:15 or so and got myself ready to go do the shopping that was needed for the rest of the food for the game. Got to Sam's for the buns for the italian beef, veggie tray and a few other things. Then went over to Jewel to get a few more things. And of course they had a smaller veggie tray than Sam's and I really should've gotten it there. Oh well. After Sam's I went to PetSmart to get Poydras a new Nylabone as his was well chewed. There was guy there with a beautiful Great Dane. Oh how I love the Danes. And he was just so sweet and handsome. The dog, not the man. Well, the man was letting everyone come up to pet the dog (can't remember the name now) and answering questions so I guess he was sweet too.

Got home and put things away that needed it and started to do the cleaning. Was pretty much done when HDiTty got home. Asked him to take the garbage from the kitchen out and mop the floor in the basement real quick while I jumped in the shower to get ready.

My mom, Jason and Roy came over. Our friend Jeremy and our neighbor, Chewy, and two of his kids also came over. Luckily the two roasts made a lot of italian beef and we had plenty to go around.

Not happy with the turnout at all, of course not. But overall it was a pretty good game to watch at least. So many people were saying how this was a cakewalk, that basically we had a byweek because the Seahawks are so bad. Because of that, along with the fact that so many of our wins were very, very hard wins, I was not confident at all. So I actually was not surprised with the outcome. Saddened, oh yes, but not surprised. We can't help but get behind them next week though against the Bears. Although I am a Bears fan I'd rather see the underdog team that beat the Saints do the same to the Bears. Especially in their home field.

After the game everyone took off. I figured HDT would want to watch the Colts/Jets game. I was so rooting for the Jets. I've never been a fan of either team but I was being bitter and hoping that the Colts wouldn't make it any further than we did this year. So, yeah, very happy they lost. But I digress. HDT was too depressed to watch the game so after I straightened the place up we watched some dvr'd shows until he had to go to bed.

Sunday I got up some time after 9:00 and proceeded to have an absolute boring and relaxing day. I did nothing but soak in the tub, read and watch my tv shows that he doesn't. He picked me up when he got home and ran to the pharmacy to pick up a couple prescriptions then headed over to the Chinese place for takeout dinner and then head home to watch some dvr'd shows until I had to go to bed.

Oh yeah, I did wake up a little after 1:00am on Saturday night/Sunday morning. I realized my stomach wasn't feeling so good and after a bit got up to go to the bathroom. Ended up vomiting 4 times before I finally felt better. All told from start to finish it was about an hour and a half. I was worried that I had food poisoning and that I got everyone sick. But when I woke up a few hours later when HDT's alarm went off and I felt perfectly fine and so did he I knew it was just one of my really weird sickness episodes.

Media quote of the day:

Excuse me, I have to go vomit. - Hermione Granger - Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

Migraines Suck

So, I've only had a hand full of really bad migraines since leaving my last place of employment back in November '09. As in, bad enough I have to take the strong medicine for it.

I've had one every day but Saturday since last Wednesday, maybe even Tuesday. Most of the time ibuprofen has been getting rid of it. But today it's worse than it has been, not sure if I'm gonna make it the whole day at work. Either way, when I get home I'm definitely gonna have to take one of the migraine pills. See, it's been so long since I took one I can't even remember the name of the stuff. I know it's not Imitrex, that's what I used to take. The knew stuff starts with an "m" oh well, whatever.

Not exactly sure why today's is so bad but I'm thinking it might be because we're supposed to get a pretty good snow storm overnight (2-4 inches).

Migraines = hate!

The Non-People's Choice Awards

So I think I've officially given up on the People's Choice Awards. I don't always remember to watch it but I remember that past awards weren't so bad. Boring bits here and there as all award shows can have, but still, for the most part not so bad. And pretty accurate on the winners as well. This year's show was just awful. About half way through HDT made a comment about how it's really the teen girl award show and he's right. Except for maybe a couple exceptions - Conan O'Brien for one.

And as much as I love Queen Latifah she just wasn't cutting it last night. There were a few times that she made me laugh but really, it was just bad and/or awkward. The bit with NPH was just so beneath both of them. I fast forwarded the bit w/ the K-sisters (don't wanna put their full name in here) had absolutely no interest in them. And the question & answer bit with the Twilight Trio was hit and miss. Gotta say I loved when she put Kristen on the spot and Kristen just fumbled through it - totally embarrassed. Well, admittedly, I was a bit sorry for her too.

But really, how could this be a "People's Choice" if two of the unaired winners actually won. As much as I enjoy Lie To Me, and I really do, how the hell did it win favorite crime fighter show and how the hell did Tim Roth win for favorite crime fighter? Again, love the show and love him but they were up against Bones (a much better show all around even though there has been a slump this season) and one of the CSI's - can't remember which and if memory serves it was also up against a Law & Order. Can't believe CSI didn't win, it's still the most popular crime fighting show, isn't it? And Tim Roth was up against Emily Deschanel from Bones and Simon Baker from The Mentalist, yep not buying that he could win over either of those two since both of those shows are more popular than Lie To Me.

Oh yeah, how the hell did The Simpsons win for favorite TV Family over Modern Family?!!!? Nope, not buying it.

The best part of the whole night was when Michael Chiklis did his little butt dance. That was great, other than that a few laughs but mostly just some smiles and then nothing else.

Whatever..... I'm done. I also voted for the first time this year, multiple times over multiple days. So yeah, maybe if they'd quite allowing that and make you have to log in to vote and only get to do so only once it would be more accurate. Sure there's still ways around that but it's not a quick and easy fix for your average voter so I believe it would definitely be more true to "The People" then it is now.

Media quote of the day:

"It goes up at the Oscars!" and

"Everybody who made what could have been a horrible year one of the greatest years of my life." - Conan O'Brien at the beginning of his acceptance speech. I prefer Ellen D. but I'm not disappointed that he won.

Weekend Update 12/30 - 1/2/11

So Thursday we got out of work early at 3:00. Well, by the time I finished what I was doing at the time we were told we could go and then cleaning up my desk it was actually 3:20 that I got out of there. Anyway, HDiTty and I had planned on meeting up with our friend Pat and going to see a movie. Since I got out early we confirmed with him that he was ready to go and we picked him up then went out for dinner at a Chinese restaurant that we don't get to very often since it's a decent drive away. All of us had an excellent dinner and HDT and I had enough left over for another meal or two each.

After that we headed out to go see True Grit. That is one excellent movie I must say. I've never read the book it's based on nor have I seen the original movie with The Duke. And I probably never will see that one as I don't really care for John Wayne. But what I've read of this remake it's closer to the book anyway so why would I want to see the other? Anyway, everyone in it is really good and the girl (Hailee Steinfeld) was absolutely wonderful.

Since none of us were tired and True Grit got out with enough time we decided to go see Tron Legacy in 3D as well. Which was ok, but I didn't expect much from it anyway as the original was pretty darn bad/campy. But I definitely liked seeing Michael Sheen, his character was a lot of fun to watch.

After that we took him home and hung out for a little bit until both HDT and I started to get really tired so we headed on home.

Friday after we got up and had some breakfast I got ready to go do some well needed shopping and HDT went into work to complete some projects he needed to do. After putting away the groceries, ect. I decided I'd start in on the tree since I didn't know when HDT was getting home and I wanted as much as possible off it. I couldn't help myself, Jersey Shore was on the tv when I turned it on and I got sucked into the ridiculousness of it all. But it was like a train wreck, I just couldn't look away.

Anyway, I put a sheet down in the middle of the room and had to sort of lift/drag the tree on to it since the base still had water in it. By the time I got all the ornaments and lights off it seemed like there were more needles on the sheet/floor than there were on the tree. That is one dry tree. Since I couldn't take it out of the stand by myself I left it there and started to do some other cleaning. I had texted HDT at one point to find out when he'd be home and he didn't have a clue so when my stomach started growling I heated up my Chinese and had dinner while still watching Jersey Shore.

Pretty much at the same time I was finishing my meal HDT gave a call to say he was on his way home and Jim was following him. So they took the tree the rest of the way down and out to the curb wrapped in the old shower curtain HDT had just changed and the sheet I had put it on. Both of them were hungry so I heated up his left over Chinese for them. Then as they were eating they started to talk about what we'd watch and since we didn't finish Resident Evil: Extinction the other night we decided we'd watch that. Then Jim said that the 4th one - Resident Evil: Afterlife should have been released on Tuesday. I went online to check and sure enough it was out. So HDT called up Walmart to make sure they had it before we went all the way out there and they did so we went all the way out there.

And of course while there we did a little more shopping, including getting Southern Comfort which is what HDT prefers to do shots of. Since we already have Jaeger for me and Rumplemintz for Jim we were set. When we had walked in the doors of the store there was a display of freshly baked bread which triggered the "I want a sandwich" switch in the guys' brains so we grabbed a loaf of it and the guys chose what meat they wanted and then we did the rest of the shopping. By the time we got home it was 11:30.

I grabbed everything needed to make the sandwiches and brought it downstairs while the guys set up the table. We decided to play a game:
Munchkin Bites while eating. During that it turned midnight so we did a shot of Jaeger, then SoCo then Rumplemintz. The Rumplemintz almost made me hurl, the others I had absolutely no problem with. I took a couple bites of the bread (I was not having any sandwiches - still too full) and that helped settle everything down. At midnight mountain time we had a Hanging Nazi shot (1/2 Jaeger and 1/2 Rumplemintz) that went down a little easier.

After we finished the game we finished watching Extinction then put in Afterlife. I was ready for bed within the first 10 minutes. HDT was ready as well, Jim was gonna stay behind to finish it, told him to lock up when he left. But then as I was getting ready to get up something in the movie caught HDT's eye and he ended up staying up to watch the whole movie.

Saturday we slept in late and then were lazy for most of the day watching tv. At one point Wayne texted me about the UFC fights so we decided to go ahead and get it. So I then texted all the rest of the brothers to let them know. Mom called me pretty much right after that since she knew I was at the least near my phone (Roy lives with her). While talking to her Jason called and Wayne texted back. HDT also gave Jim a call to see if he'd come over to help him with the tv and other electronic crap that I hate working on with him.

While they did that I cleaned up the kitchen. They realized they needed some things from Home Depot so they ran out to do that and while there HDT saw a rug that he really wanted so he got it. It is gorgeous, dark colors and leaves all over. So I'm really happy with it too. While they were finishing up Scott and his son showed up and then not long after that Wayne did. We quickly finished straightening up and then settled down to watch the Prelims. Jason and Roy showed up just before, maybe just after, the main fights started. Amazingly enough, for a card that didn't have any real big fighters going at it, although there was a title fight, and we almost didn't get because of that reason it ended up being really good. And not just because I was feeling good after having a mudslide either.

After the fights everyone left but Jim. I went to bed just after one and when I woke up some time later I noticed HDT still hadn't come to bed. I look at the clock and it's almost 7:00. I texted him "srsly" and he comes back asking me to come downstairs. I confirmed Jim was gone (only in my sleepshirt and panties) and went down. As I walked through the living room I see that they had brought the old rug up and put it in there (looks good) and the old green rug was now in the kitchen in front of the sink. The new rug had been put down along with the small new rug that matched it was at the bottom of the stairs. Also he had straightened out the DVD's and did a little more as well.

After telling him that he did a great job, that I really like the new rug and fed and watered and bathroom breaked the dog/cats I went back to bed. He came up shortly after. I set the alarm to make sure we wouldn't sleep too late and miss the kick off of the Saints game at noon. I ended up waking up at 9:45 and couldn't go back to sleep although I stayed in bed petting the cat and dog until almost 11:00.

I finally got up and started making bacon and eggs for breakfast. At 11:35 I woke up HDT for his first alarm. Then his own alarm kicked in about 11:45. We watched the sad, sad game but still not a big deal that they lost since Atlanta won theirs. Then we turned on the Bears/Packers game. I got a little bored with it so didn't pay that much attention to it. Then a little after 5:00 I made us dinner. We watched a 48 Hours Mystery that had been in our DVR since November. After that it was close to the time for the night game, which would determine who the Saints will be meeting in the playoffs next week. Turns out it'll be Seattle, which should be, knock on wood, a fairly easy enough game. At least it shouldn't be a struggle as so many of them have been lately.

It was a pretty boring game but HDT did more cleaning/decorating of the basement while I continued to read the last Dark Tower book and help him on and off. I must say, he did a really good job. Although it's not the "grown up" living room I'd like it is a "grown up sports room." Heh

Media quote of the day:

Change the scheme! Alter the mood! Electrify the boys and girls if you'd be so kind. - Castor/Zeus - Michael Sheen - Tron Legacy

Well, I was gonna do a quote from True Grit as well but unfortunately there isn't any on IMDB and that's the only place I trust in getting one. So, so be it.
