Lazy Weekend

I love lazy weekends. Except for some laundry and a little light cleaning I didn't do much of anything this weekend. This is H Ditty's weekend to work so he had to go to bed at a decent hour. On Friday I went with him since I was pretty tired myself. I think it was around 10:00/10:30. Ended up getting up right after him which means I was up and about at 5:30 yesterday. I planned on going back to bed after feeding the cats and helping HD finish getting ready. But by the time he left and they were fed I was pretty much wide awake.

So I putzed around on the computer, watched Days of Thunder (such a corny movie but enjoyable), read a magazine, putzed on the computer some more. Took a leisurely bath because I thought about going out and then decided I was too tired. So I took a two hour nap.

After that I did the light cleaning because it was possible that a few people from his work were gonna stop by and watch the UFC fights. But we weren't able to get 'em. The ordering system for DirectV was down. So instead we just watched some tv and then he went to bed and I stayed up to watch Over the Hedge. But about an hour into it I was finally tired and crawled into bed too.

Today I slept in until 9:30. Then got up and finished Over the Hedge, watched and played around with the DVD extras and then watched Friends with Money then took another 2 hour nap. I decided to do some more laundry so I threw that in and came on here.

Other than another load or two I doubt I'll do anything else for the rest of the day. I know HD wants to go see Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer so there's a chance we'll do that.

I'm thinking we might have to turn on the AC soon. We still haven't done it yet and temps have been close to ninety for the past week. We spend most of our time in the basement. It's nice and cool down here but when we go to bed it's pretty darn warm. We do open the windows and turn on our fan and it does get nice and cool in the middle of the night. But I don't know how long that'll last.

Well, just found out that we'll be going over to his Dad's house instead. They're gonna feed us, how great is that?! I don't have to figure out anything to cook and then do it. Woo Hoo.

Happy Father's Day to any of you fathers out there.

I loved Over The Hedge so much. I watched it because nothing else was on and didn't expect much. I was pleasantly surprised.
